Das Palace Festival fand im Juli 2018 in Polen zum dritten Mal statt. Es ist ein Residency Programm, das einen Raum für Künstler*innen verschiedener Sparten bietet, sich auszutauschen und an ihren Werken zu arbeiten. Wir stellen euch die Texte dreier englischsprachiger Lyriker*innen und Arbeiten der Fotografin Sophie le Roux vor, die uns auf dem Festival sehr beeindruckt und inspiriert haben. never do i ever want to take definite shape.
Always will i be forever spilly spongy building foam,
thready when you stick your fingers into it and folding into place when being left alone
If however i decide to take shape,
i aspire to build
a milky lilac strawbale house,
with wobbly round walls
because
round things hold the promise of moving on,
because they roll
spaceship, earthship
a magnetic place we come and go to
relieve and recycle what we have gathered from this crazy world
a space we hold not just for christmas
emotion house
motion house
mouse
every move's a spill into future
onwards forwards, mind the
traffic lights on trafalgar square:
the queer is not here
